Spike finds himself staring right into Ember’s open jaws as she brings her snack to them, and he gets off a single startled cry, before she bites into her meal, and he’s swallowed down with it, his body barely a bump in her neck, before dropping out into her stomach. Here, her voice is unintelligible rumbles that shake the world around him, overpowered by the sounds of gurgles and groans from the digestive process, as he stands in the juices, looking apprehensively around, and then kicking at the waist high stuff. He’s not worried, dragons can swim in lava after all, but he’s annoyed about his predicament, and hoping Ember naps soon, so he can climb up the way he came in.
