Decided to hop on the bra strap meme trend thingy that’s been going around.
With a template so minimalist, so versatile, so open to interpretation, there’s quite the expansive breeding ground for creative liberty and recontextualization. And if you know me, you’ll know by now I regard creative liberty pretty highly as a fan artist. With all the adaptability, there’s really no surprise why the meme took off so fast… And that’s not even mentioning the fact that underwear is involved.
The pool of characters to choose from for this meme was actually a bit tight; Not necessarily in regards to whom I wanted to draw, but more so the minimal competition of free candidates (I tend to try to avoid reusing characters for memes if other artists have utilized them already, as much as I can). When it comes to “cute exposure” tho, whether unassuming or accidental, Derpy Hooves is generally my go-to MVP in that department. I thought of her almost immediately when picking a “whom” for my iteration of this meme, as well as it being about time I drew her again anyway. Luckily, no one has used her yet. Yippee!
Incidentally, I think off the shoulder shirts are quite attractive, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t say the tiny glimpse of spaghetti strap was a contributing factor.
