still going thru the backlog i had humored the idea of an au/comic abt the pillars
rather than banishing themselves and the pony of shadows, starswirl attempts to destroy it entirely, accidentally shattering and creating smaller, weaker versions that possess and corrupt the remaining pillars, as well as destroying stygian’s horn in the process. starswirl is powerful enough to contain the shadow within him, but it is exhausting and drains him of his magic. now he and stygian are functionally magicless and must find and save the remaining pillars before they wreak too much havoc.
i was always curious abt the pillars having their own equivalent to the mean six or discord’s curse and wish we couldve seen them more and had more parallels to the mane six. i think the historical ponies are sooooo cute and funny and legends of magic was really fun :) anyway i had some concept art i’ll get around to posting as well
