I know the hostilities have ended, but I must tell you something: Gauss is the name of one Carl Friedrich Gauss, he forefather of railgun technology. So with the 5.56mm bullet’s already impressive ability to penetrate rock (the keyword being nature in your post), firing the round from what is ostensibly an automatic railgun would decimate any form of cover or armor.
