This might sound selfish. But, society simply cannot and does not have to cater to the “feelings” of everyone. No one is anymore special than anyone else.
Not specifically you, you’re just the last one to post. But everyone being a dick isn’t going to solve anything. If you disagree with someone, argue against them in a calm rational manner, and if you’re getting nowhere, just stop; arguments take two. Insults just make everything worse.
I never fave any drama/shitstorm related posts, but this one is so good I’m breaking that rule and faving it.

Well said, but I bet the person that started this mess think he or she is lying or something dumb like that. These “social justice” types of people are too stubborn to back down.
In reading these words, I can see the woman–or man–has proclaimed the strength of will, not to be diminished by what others say. But in the ion to proclaim strength, one may forget that not all are strong. While logically, we should not be hurt by petty silliness, humans are not simply logical; as the author shows, our ion may be a source of strength…But it can be a weakness, and pettiness can hurt, and that others can laugh at someone’s misfortunes–even when displaced from their person–can gnaw at the spirit. While I commend the strength shown in the narrative, the author must that not all are the same, and greater or lesser wounds may heal differently.
It is true, though, that we may shield ourselves from such words, but that is simply to hide from the question of morality. This is fine…for a time, especially if the question is small and remote and hidden away. But perhaps we have come to a time of reckoning, and that which has always existed, that we always knew about has become a divide in our community, yet our familiarity with it has stifled debate, that our familiarity has blinded us to the possibility it might be wrong, that to question its morality leads us to proclaim repression. For the cry of “repression!” may itself be used to repress.
Possibly.
Words have power, and while the right to use words must be protected, but it is wisdom to choose one’s words carefully, and realize the repressions they have, and who might hear them. We strive to perfection, but we are not perfect. We can try to withhold the world from those who have not gained the wisdom to comprehend it’s sorrows, but sometimes our efforts are not enough, and become all the more difficult when those who are less than cautious find themselves as celebrities in the community.
So in a community that has so many of the innocent, perhaps it is better to err on the side of caution; not to deny the more complicated elements of the world, but to protect them better than we have. This community we live in is part of a brave new world, one whose dangers we may not fully appreciate. So let us acknowledge our weaknesses, and acknowledge that our community is made up of more than ourselves.
Finally, to (roughly) quote Blaise Pascal: “If I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter.” Sorry about my rambling.
Censorship creates an potential environment fit for lies and truth-free. Which is why politician do it, so they came make people think what THEY want you to think.
