One reason why I think people have this diaper fetish is because they miss being a baby or something and a common ‘baby item’ reminds them of their young age. Another reason might be a “waste” fetish. Which honestly is absolutely fucking disgusting. I mean, I dont hate on people on their etishs most the time cause I got a few kinky ones myself, but feces fetish is kicked out the door immediately. I find it disgusting and the artists/people that do that stuff. Diaper I can understand, but still find strange. I avoid every single “waste” fetish pictures al the time, as well as the people. For those people with that fetish, please explain why you have it. I also did not mean to offend anyone with this comment, and all of it is just opinion. Just had to get that out of the way for now.

Essentially, yes. The diapers are more of a means to an end - either feeling babyish and care free, or feeling dominated and humiliated.
When I fap to a picture of someone (or something) in a diaper, I generally fantasize about how they feel rather than the diaper itself.

As for the diapers, some enjoy the feel, and for them, it’s a simple material fetish like any other. Others use it, being into watersports/scat. Some peope don’t even get off with diapers, they just find them comfortable. And then there is the realm of the adult baby, with regression and caring and fun and whatever.
Okay I’m heavily biased towards it. But really, it is just like any other of the millions of fetishes out there.

Well as with most things dealing with kinks it can be a bit odd and difficult to explain. For some it’s a comfort thing that is more about letting the mind mentally regress and relax. Other similar things can have a similar effect as well, pacifiers, stuffed animals, etc. The general idea is to change your frame of mind. Certainly not anything conventional by any means, so explaining it can be a bit odd.
On the other hand, plenty of people enjoy it for a more physical way, often tied to BSDM, domination and the likes. It tends to go hand in hand with humiliation for obvious reasons, so yeah. Basically it’s just something that can be looked at from a variety of angles. Thus ends my horrible quick explanation. Hope I managed to answer at least some of it.
