for me is much more disturbing the enormous amount of NSFW stuff portraying Twilight and Spike, when they’re like brother and sister. I understand why you find it disturbing, but still real age of Spike is a mistery, he’s not treated like a child o teenage, like the CMCs either. So he’s more like a young adult in a baby body. But that’s why I prefer pics with him grown up when want to show something more romantic. This pic was only a joke, and of course, Twilight is facehoofing for the whole situation, both Rarity wearing a bikini and Spike’s reaction, though it’s interesting to see the many ways a pic can be interpreted.
I doubt that, we’ve seen them being at the sea, swimming and sunbathing, for a couple times and never did they wear bikini’s for it.
I think Twi’s facehoof is meant “really? a bikini? And why cover up the chest where our tits/teats aren’t?”. Basically it’s just Rarity wanting more of Spike’s attention and doing it in a way that doesn’t make sense aka covering up parts of her pony body which aren’t exactly explicit.
And I still find it disturbing that a child x adult ship could get over 1.4k pictures. Nothing against the foalcon pics of them, it’s porn after all, doesn’t need reason to exist, it’s the internet, or the pics where Spike’s a teen/adult but whenever I see a picture with “baby dragon” Spike and “all grown up and living on her own/making her own lifing adult” Rarity, I always feel a bit uncomfortable.
Then again, it is one of the few ships we actually have confirmation of at least a one-sided affection and it gets spoken of quite alot in the show too, so it makes sense that there’s prominent art of it. Still find it somehow disturbing when it’s taken so seriously that people awaits Spike’s and Rarity’s marriage in the show like I’ve read on some blogs/tumblrs/comments. o_o

I’ve already seen those images in question, which understandably I’m none to thrilled about. Still, the artist has a cute style and has created several other works of which I ire and for which I’d brave exposure to the dreaded Ship-from-Hell.
