It’s customary to tag characters so that you can click on them to find other images with the same characters. Even if it’s unlikely someone will search for them, it’s still nice to be able to click the tag to see other tagged images.
@Zennistrad
Would you watch a anime with as many episodes as the pokemon anime?
They only thing that is ever watched subbed are the movies and specials like “Origins” which from what I can tell, the dub suffers from either 4kids or Pokemon USA/Nintendo anime’s bland voice acting
anyway, should anyone really care about the Pokemon anime? it is a pretty casual thing even in the pokemon anime - the “REAL” hardcore fans are either into the games or the manga (usually “Pokemon Special”)…at this point the anime is the definition of “23 minute toy commercials” an x-writer even its in an interview that at this point they are just going to keep recycling the same old stories
as for dub , it isn’t really because of the dub anime so much as it is because of the video games… usually when it comes to of videogames “translated” games trumps original version (I suppose it’s because unlike fansub anime/manga it is much easiar to “see” the stuff in english rather than the original version) this is why when it comes to main characters you get “Red over Ash” in of references - and with the Pokemon games being the very definition of Pokemon, that is why you see people refer to dub
as for people that uses japanese , I know several - heck there is even one person on Equestria Forums that always uses them
tl:dr Who cares about the Pokemon anime…Only the games matter
Who the fuck watches the Pokemon anime subbed? I’ve been hanging around Pokemon fans online for years, and not once have I ever heard anyone talk about the Pokemon anime in Japanese.
@Jarkes
And Sorry I forgot where I got my sub of Savers but search for “ryro digimon xros wars sub” and you should find a torrent for it, it’s what I got but have yet to watch it.
@Jarkes
Ya, he’s not it’s King Drasil/Yggdrasill the master system that controls the digital world(or it’s leader whatever you want to put it as) trying to destroy humans because of what Kurata had done but Marcus got the Knights to believe that humans desire to live, something it doesn’t really understand and the last blow is Marcus puncfing it IN THE FACE.
Am I correct about Kurata not being the final villain of Savers? I mean, considering he’s human, it wouldn’t really make sense FOR him to be the final villain, but I hear his death is really, REALLY karmic after all the horrible things he did.
…Also, where can I even find subs of Savers or Xros Wars?
The main Digimon have never really had much personality. They did have some, but they were almost always defined primarily in contrast to their partners; without the humans the digimon would have very little personality of their own. Data Squad was particularly bad about this, and Fusion/Xros Wars was even worse. The only season that gave the partners strongly-defined personalities was Tamers.
@Zennistrad
Kind of why I don’t like Frontier, by having the humans become the digimon we get most of the main digimon with nothing to them other then looks and powers, they are the humans so they don’t get there own characterization.
It’s less main characters in a way that feels cheap to me, if I want less main characters then only give me a few humans with digimon partners no make the humans the digimon.
While humans themselves fighting digimon is cool and all, that’s not really something that makes it a good series in itself. Data Squad/Savers’ main strengths, as with any Digimon series, come from the characters, not the monsters themselves.
@Jarkes
His digimon forms changed, they where still the ones “of darkness” but it was the kind of darkness that isn’t seen as evil.
And I’m not saying Savers is the best, but most of what make it far better then Frontier(at lest to me) is stuff you will only notice in hindsight, the main character and his father being the ONLY humans to go up to mega digimon and punch them IN THE FACE, it’s like Carter Grayson in Lightspeed Rescue willing to take on a giant monster with just his blasters, to me Marcus Damon is a student of the Grayson School of Ranger Tactics but not a ranger.
Ah, so it’s like Power Rangers Mystic Force or several other Power Rangers and Sentai series in that regard.
I think the part I stopped watching it at was right after Takuya got back from his weird time-travel, turned-into-a-human-Digimon-hybrid thing after he had screwed up fighting Duskmon. It was only later that I learned about Duskmon being Koichi (probably didn’t spell that one right). Although I do Duskmon freaking out upon hearing Kouji’s name…
Was his Digimon form still all dark and stuff after his Heel Face Turn?
To be honest, I’ve heard a few people say that even the Japanese version of Data Squad, Savers, is just kind of average. Sure, it has one of the biggest Complete Monsters of the entire franchise, but from what I’ve read, Kurata isn’t even the final villain.
@Zennistrad
Says the one going “fuck Date Squad” for the bad dub, at lest my problems with Frontier is something i can blame on it as a whole not just the dub.
To me it sucks, it’s the worst of the seasons, but I don’t say fuck it for something only wrong with it’s dub.
That’s just them trying to do something new. Digimon is a series that’s constantly reinventing itself, which is not a bad thing. If you cling to some notion of tradition in Digimon, you’re only going to be disappointed when the latest series does something radically different. Frontier is the series that helped me look past my preconceived notions of Digimon and appreciate each series for what it was, rather than what I thought it should be.
@Zennistrad
So the fact that all the seasons before it built up of the children with digimon partners are the key to saving both world, the bound between them, is what makes them the heroes they are then in comes Frontier it’s it’s like “hay you know that key factor in all the stories of the other seasons, well fuck it it’s just the kid that are important”.
@Jarkes
I find that is suffers from the problem I like to call “If your name isn’t Takuya or Kouji, then you are a background character” for the last half of the series
@Jarkes
If you are like me, NO PARTNERS, you know the thing that was a big reason why the digimon could keep getting more power by being a digimon with a human partner, but nope, just human kids become the digimon.
SUCKS!

Honestly why even use half the tabs? I really doubt anyone is actually going to come hear and search for “Lordknightmon” or “Crusadermon”
“anyway, should anyone really care about the Pokemon anime?”
Well, no. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone talk about it seriously anywhere.
Would you watch a anime with as many episodes as the pokemon anime?

*not knowing of Pokemon fansub group “Pocket Monsters”
Oh wait, just found this page with a Savers torrent(), see if it will work.
And Sorry I forgot where I got my sub of Savers but search for “ryro digimon xros wars sub” and you should find a torrent for it, it’s what I got but have yet to watch it.

You’re being kind of narrow minded here. That isn’t so much a flaw as it is you saying that it sucks because it’s different.
I find that is suffers from the problem I like to call “If your name isn’t Takuya or Kouji, then you are a background character” for the last half of the series

You don’t get how what happened happened?
And it’s one of the reason I think Frontier is the worst season.
