Yes on both counts, though I cringe at some of the stuff I once said and believed, so I won’t be reading those comments too closely when I get round to archiving everything I said on here.

Kinda wish some of the stupid things I said were preserved for all eternity on the internet. Would be kinda funny to see just how idiotic I once was. (I’m not saying that I’m not an idiot now, but I’m at least a bit smarter.)
I know the feel, as I’ve been archiving stuff from the site and including the comments for posterity. Reading some of the stuff we said back then is often a case of hilarious in hindsight, given how all the big controversies happened in the first half of the show’s run.

I really started watching it in 2017, I think. Started interacting with the fandom a couple years after that. Technically watched an episode for the first time in 2011, but I didn’t keep watching it because I was a loser.
Your profile doesn’t give any indication of how long you’ve been within the fandom, but suffice to say Twilicorn and the close-following Equestria Girls drama was a massive one-two punch of a controversy to the fandom back then. I remain of the opinion that they were the biggest controversies within the fandom to date.

Sadly, I wasn’t really around in those days. But yeah… kinda wish I was around in those days, when the big issue was whether a purple unicorn should have wings or not. Things were probably a lot more lively in those days.

I love Lyra’s “irrational exuberance” face. (Well, that’s what it’s usually tagged under.) And even more that they show how much they love us with the background pony groupings. You got your dose of Lyrabon, and though Derpy hadn’t made her return yet, Dinky is with Doctor Whooves.
