Indeed, though I think some fans cling to much to their headcanons. Still, I like how the show still leaves some things vague for the fans to fill in themselves.

The longer the show goes on, the more headcanons will be obliterated. Of course, new ones will be developed to replace them. Circle of life and all.

Seriously on DA shortly before “Heats & Hooves Day” first aired, this one teenage girl was so angry, and worried about it making the “CheeriMac” pairing “canon,” (she was a die-hard FlutterMac ‘shipper) she started drawing a bunch of “hate” art of Cheerilee… Of course, the irony is, it didn’t make said pairing canon, so she was being hateful for nothing.

Yeah, I don’t even think they’re allowed to ‘ship the “mane” characters. Wasn’t Lauren Faust was against the idea of them having boyfriends, and such? I think the creators want to respect that wish.
And no Flash Sentry doesn’t count. Twilight was never in a relationship with him, she just showed some slight interest in him. I doubt they’ll get married anytime soon. (Plus, they already did the whole “cute pony” wedding thing with her brother, and Cadance.)

It’s debatable, but I’d say that it probably counts as time travel.
