“Poking fun at extremists” is exactly what people assumed it was. That’s how people who hate social justice with a ion act. It’s impossible to tell whether you’re jokingly raging at diversity because you hate it, or jokingly raging at diversity because you hate people who rage at it.

I don’t blame you, in text (so without inflection and other vocal cues) and without context it’s really hit and miss whether someone will get it. Not everyone gets everyjoke. It’s not really rocky territory if you’re familiar with the context, since it’s poking fun at extremists.
That’s also what made it so hard for me to tell if it was a joke at all.
A joke that’s virtually identical to something you’d actually see someone say completely straight-faced doesn’t do a good job of sounding like a joke. Hence, Poe’s Law.
I apologize if I misunderstood your intent, but you have to keep in mind that this is quite rocky territory to be joking about.

The trouble is that your joke really does sound almost exactly like the sort of comments you’d see in response to any post on the internet about feminism. Poe’s Law is a very real thing.

I thought it was too ridiculous with the caps and “blah blah” crap to be thought of as serious. I’m surprised anyone got it since it really doesn’t pertain to this picture, just used it as an opportunity.
