Appropriate since i wanted to hear David Bowie voice a Diamond Dog the whole time

‘Fraid not, but it’s tempting if I ever get a game controller for my PC, and it’s likely Nintendo is never going to give it a legit english release.
 
I know the makers of the fan-translation said they’d gladly give Nintendo ALL the legal rights to their translation if it gives the game an actual official/legit release in the USA, but there might be to much legal red tape to keep that from happening. (They can’t use fan-made material, I don’t think.)
 
Also, it’s likely Nintendo won’t even consider it, unless Itoi remakes “Mother 3” on a newer console, or brings the GBA version to Virtual Console.

Yeah, as a longtime “EarthBound” fan, I know all about that stuff.

Of course, one of the naming options for the original game is Beatles , of course. Also, the Mario/Luigi-looking Runaway Five look like the Blues Brothers in the Japanese version.

It’s got alot of subtle pop-culture references to, including ones to the Beatles. (Itoi, the maker of the Mother/EarthBound game series is a Beatles fan. In fact, the original title of the game “Mother,” is a reference to a John Lennon song.)
