I kind of wonder how well the Equestria Girls line is doing compared to the regular MLP figures. The article says MLP is doing great, but how much of that is due to ponies, and how much due to EqG?
You know, the way the article also says Transformers is doing well too, but is, say, Rescue Bots selling better than Age of Extinction figures?

Well…at least RR is mildly less mindless than Barbie? And if this movie, dumb as it will be, gets girls to watch y actually good show, well, uh, so much the better. I suppose.
I don’t see the issue, then. If someone is talking about pirating comics on the publisher’s own forums, then of course I’d expect them to be slapped down. It’s just poor form.
Hm. Transformers and Marvel lines aren’t doing too badly either, though my favourite part of that article is where they mention Barbie is losing ground to MLP.
It’s funny because Hasbro is so “out of touch” that MLP is basically carrying the company right now. That’s okay, /mlp/, I’m sure Hasbro will feel properly chastised and contrite when Rainbow Rocks opens in about a billion theaters in a couple of months.

It’s not like I’ve taken a formal survey, but whenever I see someone complaining about any of those topics related to the series, most of the time it’s someone I also have seen describing EqG as so awful that no one with any taste could tolerate it. It could certainly be the case that the people who don’t like how Pinkie, AJ, and Fluttershy are portrayed anymore are a minority even among the group of fans that hate EqG with a ion, but it certainly seems to be the case that most of those who make those complaints also loathe EqG.

The Spike Justice Warrior “crowd” seems to be a single-issue group, and definitely too small to be of any consequence. As for the anti-APM crowd, I’d definitely say it’s a safe bet that most of the EqG haters were big fans of APM.

Wow. That is a lot of generalizing there mate. Why don’t you just throw in the Spike Justice Warrior crowd and the Anti Ask Molestia people and we can just claim that the people who don’t like Equestria Girls cause all the drama in this fandom.

From what I’ve seen, most of the people who hate EqG also hate Princess Alicorn Twilight, claim that the show’s all about her, say that Pinkie Pie has become flanderized beyond endurance, and dislike Fluttershy and Applejack episodes as being the same dang thing every time. With fans like this, DHX doesn’t need enemies.

I sort of assumed that girls were getting into MLP because there’s an actual show, rather than the occasional movies Barbie gets.

Maybe they should get rid of all those adverts for children toys that play during the commercial and replace them with things 4chan likes.
