It does not matter what Skunk saids about it. As long as the material has IDW on it then it is all connected among the comics.

Yet again, he is not saying it isn’t Canon. He is saying this takes place in the comic world. Not the IDW comic world, the in in show comic world. That is why the mirror works differently.

Yet, Hasbro keeps saying whatever is made into comics by them is considered canon. Plus the “comic” eg world is similar to the other one that it has to be canon.

SkunkStripe is not talking about whether it is canon or not.
 
Mane-iac is not a real pony in Equestria, she is a comic book character. The Mane 6 were once pulled into her world in the show. The Mane-iac’s mirror and Twilight’s mirror are not in the same reality.
 
In all likelihood the Mane-iac visited the comic book version of the human world, not the one connected to Equestria. That is why her going through the portal did not have to mimic Twilight’s experience, they aren’t the same mirror or worlds.

Its worth noting that this is in universe fiction. So it not working the same makes perfect sense.

Different universe. We have at least four at work here, two human, two pony, two FiM, and two superhero-flavored. Or so I assume.

Dr drakens brainwashing shampoo and cranium rinse.

There’s several pages about her going back to her lair, finding the ruins of the hair dryer, and the magic mirror being there.
 
There’s a logical progression.

The only thing that bothers me is why she didn’t transform into a human like everyone else did.

We need so much more Mane-Iac in our lifes.

Twilight went through that portal and turned into a human, but the Mane-iac went through it and stayed in HER pony form? I CALL SHENANIGANS! XD
