The only thing different about Screwball is her ability to fly without wings or a horn (which is explained by Discord’s magic, which can do practically anything, so giving her that power is most likely) and her eyes, and it was shown multiple times Discord could mess with how eyes look. The poster was just fanservice, like how Octavia and Vinyl are together. Screwball was probably just some bgp who got the ability to fly for a little while before she lost it when D got pwned, and probably doesn’t look upon the experience favourably.
You’re right, it’s not something we know for canon fact. Screwball might just be a regular pony, but since her appearance the idea that she is Discord’s construct, an eldritch thing given pony shape, has appealed to many fans. Even in the official season two “cast photo,” Screwball appears as she did in the Return of Harmony, looking adoringly up at Discord.
This is not to say that fan theory is correct, just that there are several ways of interpreting a character with less than five seconds of airtime.
How do we know that, though? She could just be some random pony who got given flight powers. Nobody considers the screen walking stallion Discord’s son, after all. She was probably reverted back to normal after the Elements blew that dumb look right off his stupid face.
Depends. He might, for example, have just seen it as his little project for the moment, and discarded ‘her’ as soon as he got bored.
Still could be a good premise for a fanfic… I’d try it myself if I could take less than a year to get something like that done.
Fanon seems to have accepted the idea that Screwball is Discord’s eldritch abomination daughter. If Queen Chrysalis tried to replace Screwball and soak up the fatherly love Discord has for her, could Discord see through her disguise? Could he distinguish a shape-shifted Chrysalis as a being not belonging to his particular brand of abomination? And would he think it was all a great joke, or would he actually be angry?

But to Discord? Just another little project, another seed of chaos sown, nothing more. How sad.

That’s… nice.
I was simply slamming my head against the wall because I didn’t have the money to buy Dark Souls for PC.
