They are considered “non-canon” because of their massive amounts of inconsistencies poor writing lack of interesting or sensible plot lines and characterizations that go right up there with bad fanfics, Chrysalis doesn’t need to be good heck she can be the most evil of all the characters so long as she was written well but the writers have already itted they don’t care for her character and make no plans to improve it Andy Price being the main factor in that regard the comics just get by on the bare minimum of what they can make without getting fired and leave it at that cause they know people will buy their comics anyway, why improve and put more effort into something that you know you can take the easy route and not have any negative consequences? Hopefully that will eventually start to change.

That’s awesome. We need more people who see Chrysalis like that. :) Though I think you could worded your previous comment a little better so I wouldn’t get the wrong idea.
Well, Chrysalis was still a new character at the time the first comic arc was written so I can let that slide. It was the Fiendship comic that should have made that happen.
Along with how this comic is treating Lightning Dust, how the comics are writing Chrysalis is what’s finally making me declare certain comic arcs non-canon.
Lightning Dust I can see where you’re coming from since she wasn’t straight-up evil in her episode (and the cut ending had her being redeemed). But I don’t think “the comics don’t agree with my sympathetic Chrysalis headcanon” is an actual reason to count them noncanon, imo.

I think Chrysalis can still be snarky, entertaining and a badass if she was given good qualities. Even if she was offered hospitality from the heroes, she would still try to think up smart-ass replies towards them.
Not every character needs to be redeemed. Chrysalis showed herself to be a rude, arrogant sadist in her opening episode, a nasty piece of work even when it ran counter to her plans.
Frankly I like the fact that she’s unapologetic about it. Good qualities would dilute that, and she’s better off being a snarky, entertaining badass.
Who we will never see again in the show.
I just want to see the changelings be a part of the show even if it’s just a few times don’t just dangle this neat looking species with interesting powers and habits and then rip them away forever I mean come on you’ll show the griffons multiple times and even where they live but not the changeling what the buck writers?
I really don’t care either way for their potential, because even if she is reformed, you know we won’t get any kind of exploration into their civilization, or at least I wouldn’t count on it. That’s something for the other factions that are already on friendly with Equestria and have been that way for a very long time.

Why do we NEED unreformed recurring villains? I hear this all the damn time. What the heck is so interesting about them? What’s so great about “RAH RAH RAH I’M BACK FOR REVENGE!!” 22 minutes later “OOOH NO, YOU’VE DEFEATED ME AGAIN WITH YOUR WIT, CUNNING, ETC, WHATEVER, I’LL BE BACK”
And more importantly, why did it need to be Chryssie? Why did it need to be her changelings along with her? We had the opportunity to explore an entire new civilization, with its own culture, customs, history, but instead we got:
“They popped out of a tree 1000 years ago, they’re all evil, there’s less than 100 of them all together, and they do nothing but follow Chrysalis around invading city after city, undisguised, sucking the life force out of actively-resisting enemy combatants.”

Character is the least I would have asked for regarding Chrysalis. But they seriously see her as too evil? That is a piss poor excuse since we already have more villains whom are more fit to be “too evil”
