I generally don’t mind what people do online, I’ve never fully understood the notion of claiming a waifu as your own.
Aside from certain well known bronies that have an established favorite Pony.
I don’t think that I actually have a favorite pony that I could say is mai waifu. I pretty much like most of the ponies as they are.
If by the season finale if they made Starlight Glimmer or Sunset Shimmer (or both lols) into a Princess, I would pretty much be like “Cool, stuff is changing in the show and the story is moving forward.”
Otherwise, eh, it’s just a really cool cartoon TV show. shrugpony.gif

I can’t legally own Rapunzel. But in the afterlife, I can have whatever I want. So she, my significant other, will be waiting for me. Everyone gets their own Heaven, of course.
