@halodork
Pretty sure Sombra was a powerful dark magus who enslaved a kingdom, last I checked. Him I buy being able to contend with Celestia and Luna, but he did not beat them, he cursed his kingdom on the brink of defeat.
@Background Pony #D274
Sombra also keeps up with alicorns. It’s almost like being an alicorn doesn’t really mean anything other then a royal status symbol.
She lost to talking.
Applebloom (a foal) handled cutie mark rejection better.
Had to use “the hard part” of Starswirls work.
So hype she had to ride the coattails of all the other villians.
even though if you look back at Hasbro’s past, Megatron in beast wars did this first, and knew what he was doing, starlight just followed in his footsteps attempted to alter the past in her favour
@Background Pony #D274
she used the map to use the spell and meghan mccarthy said a few days ago it could be used in good or bad ways still her magic is really strong even without the boost i can´t believe how strong she is
The show writers have no moral clarity. Forgiveness is one thing, but they’re letting villains great and small get away with absolute murder, often because of the most insipid Freudian excuses.
@Steel
The sheer effort of just trying to convince us Twilight took the charisma path should count as a win for the staff if it actually worked. That’s a big ‘if’.
Her revenge may have been proven wrong by just showing her the truth of the future, but her longterm ideology was never addressed by Twilight, and Starlight still sees the problems in the status quo.
She might have turned herself in, but she would never be best friends forever with them overnight. That’s insane.
You know, convincing your enemy to stand down with a high enough speech check still counts as a win. Despite Twilight being maxed on Energy Weapons in the end it was more important that she took the charisma path.
@martianmister
Yeah, Trixie was a magician filled with pride, Gilda came from a broken home, and poor little Sci Twi just was an innocent victim of circumstance.
@0verlord
Twilight its that Starlight has more potential than her, and Starlight was able to keep up with Alicorn Twilight on the fight, all the while she was wasting magic using telekinesis to keep herself flying and dodging, even while Twilight was teleporting around
Starlight probably also has much larger magic reserves than Twilight
True, and talking your opponent down does count as winning.

4/10 still better then Trixie.
Yeah, the map didn’t give her any boost at all
Except she didn’t intentionally killed anybody.

I wouldn’t count them as villains.
