Even using suppressor, the gun still loud as hell. Though if spike use sub-sonic bullet (which sacrificing range) will make the as silent as toy gun.

A quick google search finds that there are subsonic rifle rounds, by they sacrifice range. I guess it all comes down to what you need. Everything’s a compromise.

Hmmm, I don’t know how those pistol cartridge could be use in sniper rifle nor what “wound profile” is, my knowledge on particular topic is quite limited, but still at the end of the day Spike need to use subsonic bullet or otherwise it would be loud as hell.

Sniper bullet will travel at super sonic speed and it’s always make it crack sound, that’s the thing that can’t be silence. Unless spike use subsonic, then yes it will not going to be loud, but subsonic bullet will do poorly compare to super sonic bullet.

Not true, high end suppressors can reduce the sound to near zero, you only hear the firearm mechanisms. But they are also (relatively) huge.

Eeyup, Even with suppressor, the gun still as loud as hell. It’s function basically to reduce the noise generate from the gun so the shooter don’t need an earplug or earmuff while shooting. Even the quietest still generated 117 dB, which is about 50 times louder than your average sound system at maximum level. So yeah Spike still fail at not waking up Twilight.

.45 is a subsonic round, .40/9mm are supersonic. .45 has a larger wound profile than either .40 or 9mm.
