I feel more-so that way about Sunset & Glimmer. (Though, at least the newest ep’ showed some of Glimmer’s old flaws, like the Big Mac scene.)
We never really got to see any other side to Tiara besides “lol blank flanks” so I found her heel face turn a bit more believeable, plus she’s a li’l kid, (explaining her immaturity) and it was implied part of her bullying of the CMC was due to her own pent up self-doubts. (And not just her mother’s bad influence.)

To be fair, they didn’t exactly forgive her instantly, seeing how they still acted a bit afraid of her during the building the playground scene, and it seemed implied she apologized to Spoon and others off screen.
I actually felt Tiara’s heel face turn was a bit better handled then Sunset’s or Glimmer’s. Maybe ‘cause she kinda suffered for it, and it seemed implied her self-doubts, and questioning about herself was pent up this whole time, and not just her Mother’s doing.

I had similar concerns with Sunset Shimmer at the end of EG but I waited until Rainbow Rocks and I was pleased with how she turned out. I’m patiently doing the same thing with DT when she gets a season six role. I feel that she’s happier now than she was before and I like to see her happy despite my own unhappiness with the speed of her face turn… but that’s more on the show runners going with a single episode instead of a two-parter.

I understand perfectly, doesn’t mean I like her original character any more. I can accept her new writing though, since when ponies are reformed they become different characters and in effect die.

Maybe the cheap excuse of “my mom’s mean to me, so that’s why I treated all of you like hell for years” allowing the entire school to forgive her in a heartbeat has something to do with that. But I could be wrong.
Yeah, I really liked that Glimmer still had sparks of evil.

Except in this case, the pod pony was MUCH better than the actual pony…
Yep, and I feel that she isn’t even herself anymore. She died and was replaced by a pod pony in a sense.
