Same. I tried setting my alarm across the room. While I did get up to turn it off. I immediately threw myself back onto my bed and conked out again~

I do think Allie would be more helpful waking one up considering this image:
have tried the same sorta things, but i somehow manage to unconsciously get out of bed, zombie over to the other end of the room, turn the clock off or slam it into the floor, and go back to bed without ever waking up.

I can’t do that. One, mine can only do radio and gets no proper signal so it’s mostly just static crackle. Two, I can ignore that and keep sleeping. And three, that option turns on to full volume instantly which jolts me awake, rather than the gradually increasing boops of the alarm option.
I also make sure to put it completely out of reach of my bed because otherwise I’d successfully shut it off rather than putting it in snooze, and immediately fall back to sleep.
I got a Bose for Christmas a couple years back. I put it on my dresser.
I used to have it set to a really obnoxious radio-station so I would want to get up to turn it off. But I since changed it. But I can adjust the volume of my radio or music alarm, and either way it’ll slowly build up to the preset volume.
But I could crawl out of bed to pat the top, but that’ll only put it to snooze. To shut off the alarm completely I have to grab the remote which I usually keep in the middle of my computer desk or on the far-side so I have to half get out of bed or suffer through something far too loud for the morning.
Imagine Allie would dodge you when you want to slam her to be quiet and go back to sleep and would ran away from you while BWAP-ing so you could get up properly

It’d be even better that those various rolling/flying alarm clocks, because she wouldn’t get stuck anywhere or land in the fireplace.
