It was at this moment I realized that I needed to go read Project Horizons again. (And by that I mean start over. I read the first dozen chapters over a year ago and then got sidetracked.)
@Stormy_Weather
Understandable. I never keep a gun with an integrated magazine loaded, and make sure to always keep the chamber clear. In my line of work, I try to be careful.
As for the cards, the marine-tex is holding up for the time being. I still haven’t shot the gun yet, so I’m sure I’ll find out next time I’m at the range.
@Leadfoot accept that, downside of a screen cap or video, is we don’t see the chamber, tube or magazine. I’m glad you took the time to safety check it. <3 Happy shooting. <3
How well are the cards staying on? I’d have concern with the impulse of shooting shaking them loose.
@Stormy_Weather
The follower is visible, indicating an empty magazine, and the chamber is empty. It’s the first thing I check for whenever I pick up a firearm.

It would’ve been easier if my barrel was removable. Instead of threading it, I had to press fit the glass breaker and secure it with a set screw.
The only other problem with the Ithaca was finding compatible parts. There is very little out there made specifically for this gun.
@Leadfoot
Yeah I thought about attempting to re-finish my DP-12 despite the fact it already looks frightening, but I’m afraid I’ll ruin it. Was the Ithaca easy to modify?
@Lunar Winds
Thanks. It was a pain in the ass, having taken nine months to make, but I’m very happy with the result.

The booze was only there for photography. Being a gunsmith, I in no way condone operating a firearm under the influence. Unless you’re an angsty edgy cyberpony, of course.
Good times. I keep mine condition 1 on my rifles and condition 0 on my pistol…Cause no manual safety.

Best wishes. :D

Two words: Negligent discharge.

My DDI-12 would make an even better IF-88, but let’s just say that I have other plans for that one.
Edited
Ha, maybe that should be a tag.
And of course the safety’s off. What if I come across some raiders?
Btw, your safety’s off.
