Some sessions I feel so alone I could cry, but I don't. I never do. Because what would be the point. Not a single person in the entire ladder would care. Take it to your grave.

That’s only true if you assume 16 is unable to kill individuals he likes, something which humans regrettably are capable of. Alternatively, he could always kill Goku and bring him back to life. This is DBZ after all, death is cheap.
