Maybe “moral” wasn’t the right word for it, but in the last part of the movie they really try to drive home a “love conquers all” type message. I think the way they phrased it was “love is the only power that can transcend time and space,” or something like that. Not necessarily a bad message, but to me it was kind of out of place after the first 7/8 of the film was trying to be semi-hard sci-fi.
