No, though it’s easier to work on one at a time. Writing involves juggling, and you don’t want more balls in the air than you can handle.

One is the genre that focus on the interaction and build up of that relationship. The other is the desire to see two (or more) fictional characters in a romantic relationship. They can intertwine, but not necessary.

I don’t think that’s how it works. You can love shipping, and hate romance for all its flaws, or love romance and hate shipping for being overdone and pointless for many characters.
A potential power EG5 could introduce is fusion: FiM!Mane Five ignore Twilight’s mandate to stay out of Canterlot High, go through the mirror, and inadvertently fuse with the EG!Mane Five. Using a combination of Rainbow Power and the EG!Elements of Harmony to stop whozits. I bring up the idea because of the weird shit that could occur between a fused Twilight and a fused Flash. >:D

Yes and no. It was probably intended to signal that; on the other hand, we didn’t get to hear what Princess Twilight herself had to say to it. It was one of Sunset’s assumptions, and as that movie showed, she’s well-meaning but not always correct.
@PonyPon
Hay, at this point, a majority of the fandom would probably welcome Princess Twilight returning to Canterlot High to spend some time with Flash. It must be exhausting to stay mad at someone who is a nice guy who doesn’t deserve all the heartache he gets.
I’m sorry Twilight but at this point it’s too late if they officially pay you up with a pre existing character the writers will be accused of fan pandering and if it’s a new character FanFiction level writing
In the canon she’s very young, as the other five. Except by Rarity, none of them has shown any interest in getting a partner only for the sake of getting a partner.
@Hollowfox the Stallion
And blame the fandom that ships anything that moves, yet mercilessly shot down the only canon ship tease she got because her love interest was too generic for their collective taste.

Does romance has to focus on the build up of just ONE couple all the time? Or maybe more than just one?

How is shipping different from romance?

If I would, I would hate shipping, which means I’ll hate romance.
True. Nevertheless, I think Flash became interested in trying again with sunset.

I think that Princess Twilight and Human Flash ship was sunk by Canon in the last movie, no? When Sunset tells him that probably won’t work out.

Both those things can be done right and wrong.

Only one thing to do then: date the internet.
…Good luck with that, Purple.
And one of them has tried to have get someone.
I think you are doing fine Twi.
