Here’s my idea’s for Record Keeper

Twilight: Master of Magic (but mainly Black Magic). Element: Fire

Applejack: Physical Attack. Monk abilities. Element: Earth

Sunset: Black Magic/Summoning/Darkness abilities. Element: Earth/Dark

Starlight: Black and White Magic/Summoning abilities. Element: Holy/Lightning

Rainbow Dash: Physical Speed. Dragoon/Thief abilities. Element: Wind/Lightning

Pinkie Pie: : Dancing/Bard Abilities

Rarity: White Magic abilities.

Fluttershy: Ninja Abilities. Can’t think of an element for her

And (although he isn’t part of the group you included)

Flash Sentry: /Physical Speed: Bard/Dragoon/Ninja abilities. Fire/Lightning Element. I also came up with a chain soul break for him.

Cheer You On: Increases the attack/defense/magic of all allies with the effect increasing depending on how many EG characters there are in the party. Starts a 120 hit chain for EG.

Agreed with @zntp. Most of the time I picture Sunset as a physical/magic hybrid, what with her time in CHS allowing her to get used to a lifestyle without magic. Twilight I could definitely see as a dedicated mage, though usually a black mage.
 
Also while on the topic of discussing classes/jobs, Applejack is clearly a fighter, although sometimes I like to make her a knight as well. Starlight, I imagine would be proficient in casting debuffs either on the side or primarily, with her magic that can take away somepony’s abilities.

Yeah, I suppose Twilight and Sunset are changeable if just for color scheme. Though since Sunsets abilities seem be more purifying and helpful it makes her naturally more the White mage. Twilight has both offensive and defensive magic hence the Red Mage. And yes, I have been over thinking this.

One melee and three squishes…hm…so fighter, red mage, white mage, and black mage. Really hope we don’t encounter anything that is anti-magic.

I already can tell from her outfit, being a bit similar to images of her in promotional art. Still, her outfit reminds me of a certain Pokemon trainer.

I based Starlight’s from this particular image under the assumption that that’s going to be her official attire. Now that you mentioned it though, I can definitely see it.

Makes me miss the days when FF games were fun.

Starlight Glimmer’s sprite looks like a character from a Pokemon game, perhaps a very stylised trainer.
