Honestly, even if Rebecca Dart hadn’t lamented it in public, I would have just taken for granted that somebody managed to buck up the video conversion when they ed it to Youtube. Not exactly an uncommon occurrence.
It’s like they tried to add shaders for it to fit the background graphics, but it just came out all wrong.
Still looking forward to the movie tho, and whatever the next trailer may be.

It was confirmed by the art director that they fucked up with the trailer. She says that the actual movie animation looks way better than this.
I couldn’t agree more. The animation looks like it was rendered incorrectly or something. The contrast in colors is way too high. the jump from lights to darks is too jarring. I sincerely hope this is an error. the animation itself is smooth and adorable.
@Joshua
I have a duck badge because people in this fandom seem to be so sensitive when it comes to somebody else’s opinion, rather than respecting it they call you a whiny bitch and slap you with the label.
this is the worst first impression ever
Sure we know the animation in the movie will be good
But for a first trailer it was greatly degraded in quality not to mention it was poorly put together and awkwardly edited.
Only thing I didn’t like about the teaser was the narration. The guy doing it (I don’t know his name, sorry) didn’t do a horrible job, but it kinda sounds like he sort of rushed his lines.
her eyelashes are curved now…. so yeah
At least it’s not gonna be like what Sony proposed.
Hoofy kicks just got more adorable. <3
In that case they should straighten out the guys in charge of the trailers.
Still looking forward to the movie tho, and whatever the next trailer may be.

It was, movie’s art director complained about the studio that made the trailer fucking up some settings.

Yes dad
Sorry.
@Twilatron217
Both of you, knock it off.
Just stop it. It doesn’t even look as bad as you make it out to be.

Wow. You SERIOUSLY want to start drama where there is none. No wonder you have a duck badge.

If only Don LaFontaine were still alive…
seriously they didn’t review this before they approved it?
they didn’t look at it and say
oh wait the resolution has fucked up.
Just goes to show how much they care for this throw away movie
Don’t expect much from the final product.
Give it a rest and filter
my little pony: the movie.
