Meh, it can stay or it can go. It might be more interesting if Equestria was invaded by the desperate survivors of Amonkhet, AKA: The Walking Dead in ancient Egypt.

Seems like a card that would fit in an UN set

In my case, I wind up getting plot bunnies for other stuff while I’m working on something. And then I get writer’s block at the same time, so I write something for the new bunny until inspiration strikes for the original work.

In my case, the epic got a bit too epic. Too many plot threads to coordinate, so they ended up forming an unmanageable snarl. Plus, sometimes your muse gets distracted by a shiny new idea, or you use the side project as a way to clear the dam blocking your creative juices. Forcing the words out is never a good idea. I know. I’ve tried, and it never ends well.

Actually that brings up something I dont understand and would appreciate if you could explain. How come authors start new projects mid way through their old ones? Seems like ti’d be easier just to finish your old projects before starting new ones.

And why does it seem that there’s a dry spell these last few months of epics hundreds of thousands of words long.

Well, this isn’t at all ive-aggressive. You do know that I write other things, right?

But yeah, I do hear you about Phthisis is Magic. I can’t say it’s high on the priority queue, but I do want to revisit it at some point. Hopefully with better organization and preplanning.
