It definitely depends on the brand too. Heinz is really sweet stuff (it’s literally tomato paste, liquid sugar, and vinegar, in that order), while other stuff tastes much more tomatoey.

Sorry girls, but I have to go with your big sister, Gravy. She is more full-bodied, and goes great with basically everything. Except for Mayo and Tartar, I have to go with Gravy every time (being allergic to tomato doesn’t help the rest out much either).

Very true about milk. Unless it’s chocolate milk.

Maybe I just have weird taste buds, but ketchup has never been “sweet” to me. I’m always confused when people say that it is; I wonder what they’re tasting. I like ketchup, mind.
 
(Also milk is not sweet at all; in fact it has a bitter aftertaste and is generally unpleasant to drink by itself. Alcohol is horribly bitter. Cinnamon is the creation of Satan.)
