Whatever really happened between these two, I really hope they can sit and talk and resolve it. Delta Vee is smart. She doesn’t deserve to be a dump runner. Jet got the lucky side of things, and he’s just as smart.
I’m hoping the blame will be placed on fickle attitudes of the populace, basically forcing jet stream to take all the credit or none of them will get it, since delta vee’s too busy being emo and pregnant, and it’s bad PR to put her in the spotlight. but whatever happens will be good, even if all the blame goes onto apogee like you’d think was gonna happen.
I think the birth of apogee is actually a huge fakeout, only making us think that delta vee’s pregnancy was what messed her up, when it isn’t the real problem at all.
what I’m thinking is delta and jet stream designed a once-in-a-generation spectacular success, a revolutionary advance to space travel, with her doing all the work as we can see here… and then he got all the credit for it.
he’s the one attending meetings, after all, while she’s a forgotten junkie running a junkyard. I bet he’s in charge of some sort of pony NASA.

I don’t think it’s clear yet exactly how much of this was his fault. From her behavior it feels like she might have only wasted a few years of her career for reasons out of her control, but then decided that she was just going to run with it.
