Actually, even though “Legend of Everfree” takes place during Season 6, I placed “Legend of Everfree”, the “Magical Movie Night” trilogy (“Dance Magic”, “Movie Magic”, and “Mirror Magic”), the Summertime Shorts (except the first three which took place during Equestria Girls 1), the first twelve episodes of “Better Together”, and “Choose Your Own Ending” Season 1 between the first seven episodes of Season 6 and the rest of Season 6. For examples, in “Dance Magic”, it was stated by Rarity and Sugarcoat that the Rainbooms and the Shadowbolts apparently haven’t seen each other for ages and a few months since the events of “Friendship Games” and Sour Sweet mentions that Principal Cadance is letting Crystal Prep Academy have a spring dance on a yacht. And even though the Summertime Shorts were just… well, Summertime Shorts, doesn’t mean they took place in summer. They were released in summer, but took place in the spring instead, while the first three Summertime Shorts took place in fall. Also, “Better Together” Season 1 took place from late spring to early fall while “Choose Your Own Ending” Season 1 took place in the latter season, as according to “Fluttershy’s Butterflies”, the play “Bedazzled” is a fall play. I even stated that Episode 9 of the show’s sixth season took place before Episode 8 of Season 6 because S6E9 - “The Saddle Row Review” is said to take place in fall while S6E8 - “A Hearth’s Warming Tail” took place in winter. Also, the last 16 episodes of Season 6 and the first five episodes of Season 7 also took place in winter while Episodes 6-13 of Season 7, “Forgotten Friendship”, and Episodes 13-22 of the first season of “Better Together all took place in spring because, for examples, in “Forever Filly”, Sassy Saddles states “a I can’t believe the winter-to-spring transition is almost here!”, and “Forgotten Friendship” and Episodes 13-22 of “Better Together” Season 1 could took place between the first and second halves of Season 7 because we even know that a school year ends in late spring, and in “Fame and Misfortune”, the Cutie Mark Crusaders are planning to open a summer camp, which they eventually did in “Marks and Recreation” seven episodes later. Also, yes, the movie does took place after Season 7 but before Season 8. Not to mention that the Season 8 premiere two-parter, “School Daze” picked up right where the movie left off as the prologue and the first few minutes of Act One of “School Daze - Part 1” took place shortly after the movie, but before a majority of 2018-2019 Equestria Girls media from “Outtakes” to “Let it Rain”. Also, it could make sense to place the rest of the 2019 Equestria Girls media from “Sock It To Me” to “Holidays Unwrapped” after the first 8 episodes of Season 8, but before the rest of Season 8.

This happened 3-7 years ago. Because a least number of fans that did see the Equestria Girls franchise believed the Equestria Girls franchise is not connected to the tv show meaning it’s not canon. But when the season 7 finale premiered, they learn the truth that Equestria Girls is canon and connected to the tv show.

Most fans (mainly the ones from a certain site) are still in denial, unfortunately. (P.s./Unrelated to the subject: Apparently I am not the only one who doesn’t hate Total DramaRama despite everything)
random background Pony: but the sirens in shadowplay were just a cameo so that completely changes the fact that the dazzlings were in the show and punished by star swirl like in rainbow rocks.
that wasn’t that was added in storyboards it’s in the Script it even says eqg 2
In Rainbow Rocks we see Starswirl banish the Sirens to the human world. In Shadow Play we see Starswirl banish the same sirens through a portal. A portal that we know is to the human world. Just because something isn’t said doesn’t mean it isn’t true.
Imagine applying this sort of logic to other works of fiction. We never SEE Bruce Wayne put on the batsuit so who says he’s Batman? Darth Vader only SAID he’s Luke’s father, we don’t know for sure!
I wouldn’t say they’re proof. The events of RR, FG and that crappy Mirror Magic short are self-contained. None of the characters in the show ever mention any of those events happening. Not Twilight, Glimmer or Spike. The only one that has some worth is the Siren one but I peg it as more of a cameo than anything concrete since there’s never any mention of the other alien world.
