The plant’s effects just alters the appearance of its victim. Usually its effects result in a comical aftermath, thus dubbed “Poison Joke”, but probably not always.

Could be what turned her anthro. :P And instead of being scared and surprised, shes quite fond of it. lol (There could be a “surprised” frame of this scene as well, though it’s not happening right here.)
