You should feel smart for knowing more and not be hard on yourself that you didn’t know how to do entry-level algebra sooner. I think this would look a lot scarier if the bows, scrolls, and bags were replaced with x, y, and z.
… I don’t know how to feel about this. Should I feel smarr I was able to actually solve I ordered slightly stupid for letting a children’s puzzle teacher me math better than I could for myself.
To clarify 3 bowties equal 15, making each bowtie 5. Bowtie plus scroll also equals 15 and since bowtie is worth 5 scroll must be 10. If scroll and bowtie equal 15 then bag must be worth 3. If bag is worth 3 then it minus bowtie whoch is 5 equals 2. 2 is the answer.

True. As someone who nearly didn’t get a diploma because of alverbra, I’ve never had the best memories from it.

So yeah, going by this:
5+5+5= 15
5+10= 15
5+10+3= 18
And 10-3= 7
