Hmm, you know, about four days ago he said on his tumblr that he’s going to get back to this comic soon, though the speed will probably not be as fast because he’s needing to juggle it with the work that pays the bills. I’m happy to hear it’s not dead, just resting.
Never underestimate small creatures with sharp objects.
Two examples I can think of is the Dresden files which includes faeries with boxcutters.
And the first Narnia film had the ankle cutters taking down rhinos.
You don’t need killing blows to take down an opponent.
Worst part is that what’s a dagger to normal-sized folks is like a zanbato/buster sword to Ellus. She’d need something that would get the job done, like an edged sewing needle.

Ellus’ ability to get the drop on Katrina here makes me think that she wouldn’t be so ineffectual at killing. She’d have to aim for the throat though, due to the size of the dagger relative to the size of the average Minotaur, which could prove an issue.

Now I’m picturing Ellus hanging of a minotaur’s horn poking him with a little knife barely the size of a q-tip to him.
Ellus: “FOR LADY CATRINA!”
Minotaur: “Ow stop it! ow I said stop! OW NOW IT’S STUCK IN MY EAR ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?!”
Ellus: “…DUAL WIELD!” pulls out another “dagger” and pokes him in snout.

That’s why I specified the throat; unless you’re a superhero, no amount of thick hide can make going for that anything less than deadly.

All Ellus needs to take down a Minotaur is either poison coated weapons or a small, sharp knife and some knowledge of anatomy.
