Yes, this! Because Derpy is known for being a bit of an adorable klutz around Ponyville, she lives in a very minimalist, uncluttered home, so there’s less for her to accidentally crash into at any given moment. :) It makes sense really.

This literally didn’t happen. One of the writers from the show said at a con when asked about it stated that nobody wrote in. Nobody complained. The people at iTunes felt people might complain and asked that they alter the iTunes version. That version ended up being the one they went with from that point from then on. It wasn’t a big deal then and shouldn’t be now. They weren’t insulting anyone by doing it as she was never meant to resemble anyone from any community in particular. It was just corporate people being corporate and making a big deal out of nothing which is exactly what it is.
I don’t care, like I said before “it’s depend on one’s headcanon or how they will see it fit.” I have mine and if I want to draw human riding pony or something I will draw that like that. As for the art itself. Well it’s depend on how much I like it, I mean fave a lot of arts that where the pony size isn’t as I see it.

I always figured the average pony is about the size of a small RL pony; i.e. stands about waist-high. Only Luna and Celestia are larger (chest-high and head-high on an average human, respectively).
