I’m surprised how many people in this comment thread think Delta Vee is just the worst mother/pony/wife that destroys both herself and her family, and yet they don’t see any problem with Jet’s/Apogee’s plan to fix her by forcing her to take care of someone she doesn’t want to take care of. How could anyone think this is a good plan?
Delta Vee might need help with getting her life back in order, but I have a trouble with the “who” and “how”. The better way to provide her with care would be to involve neutral third party (a lawyer hired by ex certainly isn’t one) like some therapists or social worker. Putting that responsibility solely on teenage daughter is… well… irresponsible. It would be that, even if Delta Vee was enthusiastic in Apogee visiting her regularly. This is the kind of stuff that adults should take care of.
I kinda think that as soon as Gavel tells her “You’re her mother, Apogee needs you.” the response from Delta could be:
“And as ‘her mother’, all she’s ever needed from me since being forced out my cooch is clean diapers and milk. What could she possibly still need me for now?”
If it even suits her demeanour(?) to actually say as such. 😅
Reading this comic I see a lot of my mom and my dad’s feelings in it. We never had legal intervention though. Hopefully this has a better ending than mine did. I kinda’ ed the military so I didn’t have to deal with a lot of it. Though now it seems like I was the only thing holding anything together.
>getting pregnant
>not having an abortion when the child is not wanted
>complaining about the child you birthed
>throwing the anger that you have for the father on the children
>self victimization

I don’t plan on having kids yet, if I do I’ll do the best I can. ofc it’ll be after I’ve achieved my business goals.
…That’s a bit depressing to hear. Hopefully you won’t repeat their mistakes.

I understand.
Yup,
Page 6.
She’s not a terribly nice lady… How I came from that is beyond me… xD
Really?
Funny,
I said the same thing about a month ago… lol
But delta reminds me of my mother…)
Maybe.
We all have ups and downs. At some point we should realize that the only masters is ourselves.
Maybe she had standards back then, however low they were.

Uuhh, I don’t think they’re listening to ya. Lol.
Also, wow, Delta. -30 Good Mare points for being a crappy mom. :p

Think of her as the writer than, and she’s telling the audience the events through her dream.
recalling is not narrating. there’s no one you’re telling it to.
And that dream was her recalling events from her past, making her the narrator.
she wasn’t narrating that dream to anyone, if it even was entirely a dream.
She was the one dreaming about him getting the idea to get her drunk, though. In that dream, she was the narrator.
she’s not narrating though. thankfully.
I think she’s just an unreliable narrator.
she was bullshitting her daughter who wouldn’t leave it alone, plus it was a joke.
