Who knows, yo. The story could go in the direction of Apogee having to learn that not every divided family comes back together. She’ll then have to learn to cope with that pain and try to grow into a well-adjusted pony even without both of her parents ing her.
There’s all sorts of ways this could go.
Keep in mind, I’d still prefer the happy ending that’s all hugs and joy, I just like keeping those possible horizons open (that way I can’t get let down in case a story doesn’t go the way I was hoping).

At this point Signs point to no, which means narratively it will only be satisfying if they do. Not having them get back together would make all of the preceding story line pointless.

They both need to consider themselves as good as married and organize their lives accordingly for common law to come into effect. The fact that Delta clearly didn’t feel that was the case means common law doesn’t enter into things.

They cohabited and had a kid, which I think at least makes them common law. Also they clearly have custody hearings in Equestria so they at the least had to file a legal separation for the purposes of Apogee.
Delta seems to be carrying around a lot of hate and loathing. Both for herself and her former husband. Which probably resulted in the daughter being shoved away in a manner I could understand, if of course it’s one of those “I didn’t want to involve you” deals. Pretty fucking real if that’s the case.

Delta loves her daughter even if her daughter’s existence is what caused her so much trouble. It’s complex, and easy to understand why Delta avoids it.

My parents divorced when I was 3. To this day, neither one of them can stand to be around me because I remind them too much of each other.
I was better off with my grandparents all these years, literally the only thing my father did for me.
