This is just screaming for the “what did we do last night?!” moment, followed by random flashbacks of unexplainable situations.
Twilight and Spike were out of town due to diplomatic princess stuff. Twilight said no parties, so of course Starlight throws a huge party at the castle and invites the whole town. The party was epic, to say the least. Fast forward to now. The castle’s a mess and Twilight will be back in less than an hour. Cue Cleaning it up montage to the tune of Yakety Sax.

Then Trixie said that Pinkie threw the party and they had no involvement whatsoever.
And then Vinyl Scratch comes back because she forgot her equipment and tells them that it was an amazing party.
Upon seeing all of the confetti, Starlight says that she found more of Pinkie’s hidden party cannons and a few set off that night.
