If you look closely at the top left of the traditional image, you can faintly see a sketch of RD’s house. I actually wanted to put that in too but already took note of how much torture I’ve put upon myself.

This image for me is the pinnacle of the whole MLP-FiM experience.
Blissful happy hardly functional and yet somehow better and also more weirdly dysfunctional and yet perfectly suited to its environment than we ever could have planned.
Not the show we ever would have asked for, but exactly the show we needed.
Horses. Talking horses. With wings and horns delivering mail. Usually successfully, at least when it really matters. And yet somehow utterly unprepared for it all, but in a way that hardly matters in the end, with at least a few anvils and flowerpots falling from the sky along the way, and a couple Benny Hill homages to boot.
Derpy is the perfect expression of the whole package, for me.

Derpy Ditzy “Muffin” Doo Hooves was the pony that introduced me to the fandom, and for that, even if I don’t draw her that much anymore, she will always hold a place in me heart.
That’s looking really good. I can’t wait to see what it’ll look like in color.
And that’s okay. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Sometimes with art, it may take a while to get good results.
