@ArrJaySketch
Yes I agree, it’s likely a generational thing coupled with the Weird Al effect - where the younger generation only knows of a meme because of a parody version of it from a newer source.

It’s probably an age thing! I thought of Mighty Mouse immediately, but that’s probably because I it being syndicated on Saturday Morning cartoons…
@Yet One More Idiot
The quote was changed enough from its original version that it makes it a reference to Liar, Liar instead. Without the proper way to sing the the original line, there is no way of knowing it is Mighty Mouse.
@Neko Majin C
But if A is a reference to B, which was itself a reference to C, then surely A is a reference to C also? Despite the fact that a lot of people who have heard of B (Liar, Liar) have probably not heard of C (Mighty Mouse) in this case, it still counts?
This is not a Mighty Mouse reference, this is a Liar, Liar reference. It was a Mighty Mouse reference in Liar, Liar, however, here, it is a reference to Liar, Liar. If it exists, I shall add the tag.
@GryphonStar5678
It’s a Mighty Mouse ref actually. God I feel old . . . er now.
Don’t worry, I got that one too. :D
(My parents bought a Best of Mighty Mouse video when we were little. I’m pretty sure there was a time when little me kept singing “Here I come to save the daaaaaaaaaaay!” xD)

Great minds . . .

@Wolfjira
I don’t think I’ve seen Liar, Liar, but I got the (inverted) Mighty Mouse reference right away.
@Neko Majin C
It’s fine. Don’t overthink it.
