If they weren’t working on it then, and they’ve scrapped the planned season 2 finale and season 3, how will they have time to make meaningful new content before working on G5? And who’s write or act it if the previous lead writer’s and voice actors are no longer involved?
I want to believe, but need these confirmed before I have hope.
Boulder is not working on very much at the moment, honestly.
They are working on the movie, plus some stuff for a few franchises, but Hasbro seems to be holding them back from working on any larger series until they have had a big upgrade.
I think that little wink hints that yes, EQG is one of the projects Hasbro wants them to work on, but they just aren’t there yet.
You gotta understand that Boulder is just over 100 people at the moment. That is not nearly a large enough staff to handle all the projects Hasbro has lined up.
GI Joe is getting a full series and films, Transformers is, Micronoughts is, D&D is, freakin Micro Machines might, and Boulder is going to be responsible for working on ALL of it.
Thus, they are getting a huge staff upgrade in about a year or two, up to 650 employees.
Once they reach that, we will probably see them working on EQG.
In the mean time, it is pretty simple. Hasbro has locked down all the nescessary copyrights for G4’s future, G4 is already well established and does not need a big show right away, and Hasbro is filling the space with new projects like the musical, Rainbow Roadtrip, the Manga series, and more.
What Boulder rightfully is working on are the franchises that are either borderline dead like Power Rangers and GI Joe, or series like Transformers, that need to pull their own weight in comparison to MLP.
Replying to SAVE your stuff in “hiding mode” (just in case).

I mean, they literally say they will be working on it in the future.
Plus, contrary to popular belief, Rainbow Roadtrip did not borrow DHX assets, Boulder made everything you will see. That’s why they are so hyped. Plus, the special began production 6 months before the film released, and since Boulder was the ones to work on it, we can know it was not meant as a movie. Boulder handles all television animation, Paramount handles theatrical films.
So, Boulder has been involved with MLP with regards to G4, and will apparently remain involved for the foreseeable future.

Where did you get that info?
Nothing I have found confirms there is no season 3.
Plus, given that this comment says “That isn’t to say we won’t be working on it” and then apparently Hasbro had them take the comment down, it sounds like they actually will be, once the studio upgrade is finished next year.
Plus, with G4 confirmed to continue on through 2020, G5 not being mentioned as of yet on any platform save for the leaks from 2 years ago, and even the director of season 2 saying that the show has not ended to her knowledge, just that DHX was done working on the property, it is unlikely that EQG is over.
now i don’t know if i should leave after such a short time or just stay and witness the downturn which will probably exceed that of the downturn in season 6.

i feel like i wasted a few years off my life
In the words of Syndrome from The Incridibles, “Too late, 15 years too late.”
Eqg seems to be poised to end before Fim’s finale.
and it sucks since i ed this famdom this late
So both MLP: FIM and EQG end in 2019.
yup.
Confirmed, there is no season 3.
Thanks!! Being an obsessed fan of the show comes in handy lol.
Well said.

i’m in the same situation here too you know
Edited
that means nothing one way or the other. it could be as simple as hasbro asking him to have that up cuz they don’t want leaks.
Okay
like the other gens
Getting rebooted
The guy who posted it on IG deleted it off there cuz a 3rd season is not in the works
Proof?
