You seem to have the misconception that anyone who is in someway “right-wing” is automatically a flat-earth fundamentalist nut wants to turn America into a white nationalist state. That is incorrect and a stereotype, you only really find that in the alt-right/far-right. Such an argument is really just a mirror image of saying “Democrats are all a much of liberal snowflakes who hate free speech”
also I’m pretty the the political right haven’t existed for 1500 years, there wasn’t even a political spectrum back then. And modern republicanism has only existed for about a century

I found it a tad ironic that on the day I asked you that question, the Supreme Court finally squashed a years-long atheist campaign to destroy a World War One memorial because it’s cross-shaped and that offends them. It probably won’t be the last such campaign.
An exhaustive list of all the ways the left are trying to annihilate freedom of speech and conscience would be inappropriate and too time-consuming to bother with. I suggest you remove the beam from your own eye before pointing at the motes in ours. There are some, I it. The reason “your side” won that case because the cross is now considered a secular symbol in that use, not a religious symbol.
