I know that eMacs is superior for an integrated development experience, but my open-and-shut vim workflows are pretty hardwired by now. Need the fast startup, since I keep closing it all the time.

I haven’t used Doom Emacs, but meow is extensively customizable and just works better with the rest of Emacs in my experience.
