Wrong just wrong, did the episode talked about Spike’s crush or even mentioned it at all? The answer to that question is a big fat NO. The episode talked about Spike and Rarity’s friendship, not about romance. And the episode ends with a scene like this.
Pretty implies that Spike haven’t over his crush at all and still want to have time with Rarity. You take their relationship way too seriously.
@TheAmazingPeanuts
You ignored everything I said, just so you could be antagonistic.
But giving you the benefit of the doubt instead, I’ll explain myself a bit better. Gabby doesn’t even come into it. She was just the one that got picked as someone Rarity could get jealous of. Rarity knew how Spike felt about her, and continued to tease him constantly, until the gabby episode in which her use of him became more noticeably manipulative and wrong than ever before. It took a flashlight to the worst parts of their relationship, and then it finally put it to rest. Allowing Spike to move on from this unhealthy crush.
It was character growth. This isn’t about Gabby or shipping, it’s about Spike. We even know from future Spike that he doesn’t appear to be in a relationship with Rarity, and that makes sense. So why bring it back here? I can only fathom that it was bad writing. But it getting the OK and put into an episode sadly makes it canon. I think this makes it something very deserving of being pointed to and called shit. I know I could be one of those people that just deny the canon they don’t like, but I’d rather not have to be. I miss my Spike character growth.

Trust me I didn’t believe it either when I heard about it.My opinion that Spike is more mature about his crush and can still have a bond another female. But let see what the season 10 comics do with it.
I reading that from the leaks that was release after the finale. In the original script to Dragon Dropped Rarity tell Spike gently that she never felt the same way like he does her so he stop crushing on her.I can’t the rest but there was no grabby at first. Also the staff was ask about sparity they said it up the the fans to decide.
spike just found a new friend…not a new crush /: and also we know that sparity is over and this image just shows that spike was thinking about those times…it’s not hard to understand /:
THe Gabby episode was rather unpleasant with how it showed Rarity as a bit of a monster. But they got her to apologise and Spike was free of his crush. To bring that back again, it is a shame. Spike deserves better than to keep being strung along. This was not thought out.
I’m shocked anyone believes that the showrunners have even an ounce of a desire to address or not address this issue. They do not care, it’s nothing but a gag to them, and they don’t want to get rid of the gag do they?
Sparity vs Anti Sparity debate threads are so fucking funny to me I love em

Just deal with it. It was never a thing between Spike and Gabby, they were just friends.

It’s that simple. Be a man of culture, or in this case, a dragon of culture.

Exactly.

It’s a lie, there’s no such thing in the original transcripts. I’ve checked myself
Damn
And even if it was in that it wouldn’t count anyway because it was cut
A’ight, that’s BS. I’ve literally just gave a look at the leaked scripts after reading your comment, and there’s no such scene
Yep, but they SHOULD adress it, I mean, it was fun while it lasted but the gag has run its course.
A harem of Rarity, Smolder and Gabby.
He can have a Persona harem. He just needs to be careful on Valentine’s day.
