I don’t think I have Autism, but I tend to space out quite frequently.
Thankfully, I figured out how to put my body on a form of autopilot so it doesn’t interfere with work.
Although it does lead to some humorous and slightly frustraing situations when a coworker says my name it’s snaps me back so hard that I end up with mental whiplash. humorous in that I end up not knowing what their asking me, frustrating when they me ask me to agree to something that I have no idea what I’m agreeing to.
as an autistic person, there is a difference between autism and schizophrenia. i have a tendency to drift into fantasy, thinking of worlds like mlp, but i am not completely detached from reality. nor am i under the delusion what i think is real.
And that came from Saint Elsewhere’s series finale.
By the way, that series finale that broke a lot of show canons (essentially, half the shows on TV for quite some time happened in that universe… including things like Star Trek and X-Files).
Just check out the Westphall Universe for an explanation.

Fuck you for the feels.
As an autistic person, I’ve known about Saint Elsewhere for a long time and know that it’s a reference.
Also, as an autistic person, I know where the “shift” key is on my keyboard.
Yes, yes, and that comic is in reference to Saint Elsewhere.
