Earth as the Wu kingdom? Im sorry but It dose’nt fit with me, Earth ponies had ben the founders of Ponyville, a small but heart warming village, just like the kingdom of Shu when it was first found by Liu Bei: The first emperor and founder of Shu, the books and manuals say he’s the SO CALLED founder, but I believe that he was the true founder of the kingdom of Shu. The Earth Ponies are most likely to be: Kind, helpful, and respectful, again, just like Shu. Besides, Pinkie Pie in my opinion would make the perfect emperor for Shu or in this case, Earth. She’s a mare that is caring of others fealings and always says her life’s purpose is to make everypony smile, Liu Bei wanted to make the peaple (Incorrect Spelling) of China happy, by creating a land of benevolence plus I don’t cear for Wu. So, there’s my reson. If anypony disagrees I will not be offered, I like to hear other’s opinions and reasons of thoughts. (I own Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper for my Wii U, yeah, it’s not based on DW 8, But it’s a super fun game and I love it! My favorite kingdoms are: Jin & SHU.
And it’s true that Shu also had their own military strength (there’s a reason they’re part of the three kingdoms, after all), but I feel that most stories based on the time period paints Shu as the heroes of the story, and being warlike in nature tends to be a bad trait for heroes to have…
@Technature
i somewhat had the same thought. But, later realized that China was united under the Sima clan who were the advisors to the Wei clan. Clover the Clever could have easily been part of the Sima clan. i can also see Princess Platinum as Cao Cao.
Shu was just as warlike as Wei. They had great generals such as Guan Yu, Ma Chao, Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun.
@MrBen
I know Equestria is officially based on the US. But there history and society suggests a lot in common with China. It would be nice if Twilight and the others were sent by Celestia to the east to try and quell the dispute. As the three pony kingdoms in the Orient have yet to settle their differences.
Well No, I mean have you seen the Total War Three kingdoms trailer and the Mention in Oversimplified?
It’s more like a cosmetic mod like in Fallout and Skyrim, where it is mostly about characters with pony heads.

A revisionist comparison between the Three Kingdoms of China and the three proto-Equestrian tribes.

To be fair, the only thing ms paint was used for on this was to change the names and put in the flags.
Still, could of been done better.

The Sima clan of alicorns abdicate the throne and lay the foundation for the equestrian dynasty
But they need arable land for their earth ponies to produce food for their pegasus ponies. Earth has most agricultural land.
Or the Gryphons?
