funny back when i came with an idea similar to this in early 2012 everypony i showed it to would yell at me and make tell me to go kill myself i’m trying to be an attention whore or anything it just enrages me that someone who had a similar idea as me is getting praised when i was getting bashed and made fun of
Also, it’d be nice to see a human fic where they were not trying to wipe out ponies, but didn’t care for them or want anything to do with other sentients. Maybe have ponies bother them directly or indirectly and then take that to wherever you think it should go.
(Hell, with all the ideas in my head, maybe I should get into writing fics.)
I don’t know if this fic makes an attempt to explain the human forces’ motives, but I always figured a post-post-apocalypse thing could work well in of giving them good reason to want to wreck ponykind’s shit.
One idea is that humanity survived an apocalypse and a Fallout-type era that got cut short by or was possibly even caused by whatever made magic and sentient species appear. Said non-human sentients massacred or imprisoned a weakened humanity. Cue humanity coming back from whatever sanctuary or prison they spent eons in for round two with the weaker and unknowing descendants of their enemies.
@Putinforgod
The humans became corrupt and twisted into Necromorph-like beings before being banished to Tartarus. Then the whole Seal is Broken scenario happens.
I always liked the idea of humans invading Equestria, but I always prefered to depict them like Eldrich-like parodies of their former selfs trying to destroy every living being blinded by an ancestral hatred wich motives were forgotten thousand of years ago.
Can I steal your idea?
Well, Barbarossa was kind of a walk in a park… at least until General Winter showed up.

Or Thalmor. That would work too.
