It IS a headcanon though, he was only part of it because he’s part of Twilight’s friend group and the series is all about Friendship. Why wouldn’t the main characters that are all friends end the series with a group friendship power?
He can’t even cite any sources that say he’s part of the elements besides your own personal wish fulfilment.
@Background Pony #BBF0
Yes it DOES.
No, its not headcanon. He was literally part of firing the rainbow laser.
You need a Element to do that for Synchro’s sake. Creatures can’t just in on that all willy-nilly without the Elements.
Doesn’t make sense for certain stories that screwed him over though.
Like with Season 10 basically retconning out the fact that he’s a Element Bearer.
Being brainwashed by the Kelpies, falling to Accord like everyone else so Starlight saves the day, etc.
Making it all up is the opposite of what that comic was saying
“That explains the Nightmare Rarity story, that explains the Dragontown and so, so much more.”
The character from the dragon town story still shows up at the end of THIS comic.

Which implies that Twilight underwent a dark transformation and thus needed to be purified in order to return to her base form as simply giving up her magic while already pure wouldn’t do anything.
@Daneasaur
But if a writer wanted to add that the Twilight image was Spike’s imagination, it would be taken as canon, right?
Although one could also add that when Twilight sealed all of Equestria’s magic into the crystals, she also sealed most of her magic, thus returning her to her base form.
One would also say that’s not the case either, since in G4 the princesses didn’t undergo a change when they lost their magic to Grogar’s bell or maybe when they ed all their magic to Twilight in Season 4…
But you also have to , that Princess Luna returned to a “previous” version when she was purified by the elements of harmony…I know that this was in itself a pilot form for Princess Luna, but it also gives us the theory of that if you remove or purify all the magic of an alicorn, it will return to its base form…
G5’s writing and plot was all “finished” as season 7 of G4 was wrapping up and was not updated for the events of seasons 8 and 9. This is why none of the aspects of season 8 or 9 are present in G5, particularly the flash forward epilogue.
Can you imagine that it was Spike who imagined Twilight in the form of Celestia? (because possibly he sees things differently than the others), that would explain why she appeared in a different way in G5.
I know what you think, and what about the G5 comics or stories about the G5 ponies, and I say; that those comics were made by Spike too, and the information collected comes from Spike.
That means that Twilight never took on an appearance like Celestia, everything was imagined by Spike.

That doesn’t make him a bearer.
That’s just your headcanon because of your Spike obsession.
He IS though.
I just pointed out why.
Only those with the Elements can do that.
He’s not
He is though.
The season 9 finale had him be part of the rainbow laser used against the trio.

Uhhh, no it pretty much said he made it up or exaggerated alot.

Not the case.
I can see that.

They didn’t seem to care.
Exactly, it means that Spike wrote these stories and that’s why they are inconsistent with the show.
It does.
