Holy shit, dude❤️❤️ Wise words to live by; genuinely gave me a warm smile. No one asked to be brought into this world of ordered chaos, but we can make the most of it either way! Mad love to you, stranger, and please stay safe❗️🫂

Thank you kindly, This_is_my_real_name, for the compliment and above all for your words :)
One thing is always true, to that exact little amount of matter that is alive in an endless universe is a luck less likely than winning the lottery every single day in your life! This in itself is such an incredible piece of luck that it can always encourage you to make something good from it. That is something one can always if things are getting a bit gloomy on the way sometimes, enabling you to appreciate the brighter times even more :)

The old you is also a while lot more ignorant. Wisdom may be confused with pure cynicism, but it is a necessary survivability. It ain’t all bad and you sound wise enough to remain content within the chaos, based on your observance of change/personal growth. Going from stagnation to adaptation is a blessing and there is “good” and “bad” to all.
@malte279
Every human is unique; In contrast, the “system” is stagnant - why we have our own journies. Do you blame the deceased child of ing away too early? They made the “wrong choice”? Obviously dark, but just as obviously not either. Love your life however it may transpire and love along the way. You never know what someone else is going through and they know not your odyssey, neither do they need to. I’m sure your students are grateful for you❤️
Nobody ever becomes the person they want, because nothing is ever enough. If you’re poor, you regret you didn’t work harder and become rich. If you’re a billionaire, you regret you didn’t spend more time with your family. If you have a family, you regret you didn’t spend a few more fun years freely fucking around. If you’re single, you regret you didn’t start a family. Et cetera. There will be always someone who is more happy, more rich, more famous or more successful than you.

To me it sometimes is a mixture of both. Most of my students are young adults and many of them have had special challenges in their lives. The requirements for final exams that must be met in order for those exams to be greenlit by the istration were not made for these students. On the other hand I cannot totally discard their share of responsibility if many of them simply doesn’t show up for most of the time or, if they do, flatout refuse to put their cellphones away and actually participate. I’m actually quite fond of most of my students and am happy to say that most of them get along well with me too. But this doesn’t make things any easier (quite the contrary) when at the end of the day I have to grade them based on a system that sometimes doesn’t heed the particular challenges many of the students face.
@malte279
From all my teacher friends, the problem clientele are always adults (parents, state legislatures, and school boards) and not the bad students.
@Supermark
Just a matter of mindset, no more is needed than inspiration and hope. But obtaining such mindset is not at all clear mission. Wish it was possible to lend some of that optimistic world view from the past self, because quite large portion of my imagination has died during the years. Thinking my child self would do many decisions better because he is not afraid of failure or pushback. And he would come up with new possibilities I would never even see.
2010!Me would be completely disappointed with 2026!Me. It was all for nothing. He would fall back into the depression hole he briefly managed to climb out of. He might not live long enough to see pony.
Being a teacher myself, this really has a lot of meaning for me. I am generally happy with who I am and what I do, but there are times when the profession and parts of the clientele can grind you down to a point where you question the sense of everything.
Thank you for the beautiful image, anonymous artist.
lol it’s so introspective, man! Great art to think with…
