Because some people find it offensive, as a Christian that includes me. But love thy neighbour and love thy enemy, was what Jesus taught and I won’t get anywhere saying ‘ this is blasphemous shite take it down at once!’.
I don’t like it but really it’s not worth going to war over. The artist, God willing, will find the light of the Spirit. I hope and pray.

I’m not a fan of the image overall (but I respect the artist’s speech, and from a purely art-critical point-of-view it is well done) but I found myself laughing at the idea of “Pontius Twilight” (even though Pontius didn’t do the crucifying himself)
